Virginia License Suspension

Suspended License In Virginia? You Need Big Valley Law.

Under Virginia law, your driver’s license will be suspended for one year for conviction of drunk driving, even on a first offense. In other words, you have to be beat the DWI charge to keep your license.

At Big Valley Law, we understand the hardship and embarrassment that could even cost you your job. That’s why we fight the charges and petition the court for restricted driving privileges. And we can help with the serious offense of driving on a suspended license.

Limited driving privileges are not automatically granted. You need a lawyer who can help you qualify and argue on your behalf. First offenders may be eligible for a restricted driver’s permit to drive to work, school, medical appointments and other necessary travel. This requires:
(a) completion of the VASAP alcohol education/treatment program and
(b) installation of an ignition interlock device in your primary vehicle
.

No restricted license is available if your blood alcohol content was .15 or greater. A second DWI/DUI within five years will result in a three-year suspension of your driver’s license, with a restricted license available under strict criteria.

Big Valley Law is trusted and experienced when it comes to facing charges of DUI, DWI or a suspended license in Virginia.
